A New Standard for Youth Football, Powered by Chesterfield Black Knights
Most youth football programs end at age 12—but the game doesn’t stop there.
The Central Virginia Middies Football League (CVMFL) was created to fill the gap for 13U and 14U players not yet ready for JV or overlooked at their schools. Backed by high school coaches, this developmental league helps prepare athletes for the next level.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:6

The Central Virginia Middies Football League (CVMFL) is a developmental football league for athletes ages 13–14 who have aged out of youth rec leagues but are not yet ready for Junior Varsity (JV). It’s designed to give players continued opportunity to compete and grow under JV-style rules with structured coaching support.
Any athlete age 13 or 14, regardless of school or district. CVMFL does not require school waivers or district-based play — athletes from any area are welcome.
No. While some players may have experience, the league is developmental — meaning we welcome all skill levels and provide coaching that builds fundamentals, discipline, and game readiness.
We are actively seeking partnerships with local youth organizations and schools. If you’re interested in starting a team in your zone, email us at CVMFL2025@gmail.com.
